New Jersey Drainage Solutions

The Lisk Landscape team specializes in New Jersey Drainage Solutions, preserving the health of your plants and the longevity of your hardscape materials, while preventing damage to your home’s foundation. Grading problems and improper landscape drainage can lead to a number of costly and inconvenient problems, such as:

  • Stagnant water buildup
  • Mosquito and insect infestation
  • Foundation settling and cracking
  • Soil instability and sinking concrete
  • Basement moisture
  • Mold and mildew growth

When designing a New Jersey Drainage Solutions system, Lisk Landscape takes many factors into account. These include:

Soil Type Creating Problems:

While dense, clay-like soils tend to be nutrient rich, they do not absorb and distribute water easily. Impenetrable soils lead to continual water buildup, leaving water to drain into your homes foundation. In the photo below, all of the clay soil was removed off site & a exterior drainage system was installed to prevent further water damage.

Excessive Rainfall:

While New Jersey’s high annual rainfall keeps the Garden State green, it can wreak havoc on your yard if you do not have the right company to evaluate your property. Steve & his Water Management Team can lead you in the Right direction saving you time & most importantly Money!

Sump Pump Discharge:

A sump pump can save your basement from storm damage, but it’s important to ensure that the pump’s discharge line ejects water away from your home’s foundation. Most Townships WILL NOT ALLOW you to Drain your Sump Pump into the Street. The proper disposal for a Sump Pump is a DRY-WELL. Please see the Diagram below of how a DRY-WELL works.

Gutters and Downspouts:

Your gutter system is essential to protecting roof materials from moisture, but overflowing, clogged or misdirected downspouts can lead to water buildup around your foundation. To prevent moisture collection, landscape drainage solutions funnel water away from your home.
